AFBNA Mascot
April 28, 2008

Spudnick was introduced as the official representative of the Alberta Food Bank Network Association at the AFBNA AGM on April 25, 2008. When interviewed later he expressed his feelings.
“It was such a thrill as I was introduced to all of you at the Annual General Meeting. I am now a real mascot with a real name.
A cheque for $100 was presented at the AGM to The Spirits of We-Hni-Mne Food Bank Society.
Their submission of Spudnick identifies me as an energy source which reaches out to all areas of Alberta, providing positive energy with laughter and empathy, assisting AFBNA and Food Banks across the province in feeding the hungry and providing children with an example of sharing and caring.
Thanks also goes to ImageWear (formally Alberta Monogramme) in Edmonton for the fine embroidery of my name and the AFBNA logo. Well done to Barry and his loyal staff.”
