Who We Are

About Alberta Food Banks

Alberta Food Banks is also known as the Alberta Food Bank Network Association [AFBNA]. We are engaged in developing initiatives and supporting programs to benefit Alberta food banks.

We aim to keep Albertans updated on the situation of hunger and poverty in Alberta by maintaining an expanding website, developing our newsletter, and posting bulletins to keep top of breaking news.

Also, in our resource section are links to non-profit organizations, industry partners, our Annual Reports and other valuable information.

In addition to sharing resources, the AFBNA encourages its members to understand and abide by standards such as the Food Bank Canada’s Ethical Foodbanking Code and the Food Banks Canada Safe Food Handling Program
